How likely is an old MSA Semi-Classic, 3 pedals, 1 knee lever, able to accommodate an additional knee lever to expand the function. Current lever drops 2 strings by 1/2 step.

The plastic tuners on an old National lap steel crumbled recently. Can the buttons be replaced or is it a matter of finding the entire tuner sets? (3 on a plate).

I've never had that problem and I use a cheap 2" wide nylon strap. On the headstock end I use that little quick-detachable thingie (Planet Waves) which only has a 1/2" or less nylon strap go ...
