Lawrence I had a similar problem with my 2007 RAINS.
On mine the fifth string raise was not raising far
enough even after fine tuning several times.I replaced the nylon hex nut with a new one it fix ...

I just did an intensive search on the HP
website and it says you can use either
66Mhz or 100Mhz in your 6643. We just added
64MB of 100Mhz SDRAM to our HP 6640C tonight.
