The UMGF requires an asking price which the seller does not want to do for some reason. Only dealers selling new merchandise can list without a price. He would not be allowed to post it on that forum, ...

Not at all. Just trying to see if posting the price would help sell it....The rule says this is a "like new" guitar not a new one, as you are not (I think) a store. It's a 15 year old guita ...

Why don't you just post the price? Most for sale boards dealing with musical instruments, that is the policy, you need to post an asking price. It's not too much to ask...
