Chandler has a very nice blonde tolex lap steel case made by G & G. I have one and it fits the chandler perfectly and my mastertone very nicely as well.

The outside neck on mine is definitely a lot fuller sounding. Mine has the older (I think they're older...right?) rectangular boxcars, but I think it has to do with the thickness of the wood.

I'd say Class A is way to go for the Hawaiian sound. I have a '62 Gibson GA-5 and it's perfect for anything oldschool. I also have a Epiphone Valve Jr that I love to goof around on.

I don't think its a lap dawg though that was my first guess. Although the logo definitely rubs off easy and they are chrome plated. But they don't round off quite as gradually at the top like this one ... | |

You can buy an instructional program on ebay. I don't know if its any good, but it says it covers consoles.
