I never heard of this. I do thank the tone depends on who is playing above the 12th fret. I also beleave who is playing any steel guitar can make it sound good or bad.

Mark is RIGHT, relax is the word. Do not squize hard on the bar and by all mean do not press hard. Let the bar do the work.
