Russ Hicks does a mean Travis/Atkins fingerpicking style on the C6. As usual with Russ, it is very funky and cool.

Not listed, but Weldon on the Area Code 615 stuff(Grammy nominated!) and Russ Hicks with Barefoot Jerry come to mind as seminal steel playing of the era.
