I've got a Recording King RG-32 which I like alot. I did change out the pickup. I think it plays and sounds great.

I 2nd that!! I play that Katana and it really is fantastic. Can't go wrong. Plus it's the only really low wattage (practice) amp I've found that has a 12" speaker.

In my gigging days I used a pair of EV ZX1 speakers. They're 8" and hands down the finest speakers I've used. Not cheap, but worth it. I once found a used pair, but that's rare.
