Quick poll....who prefers a drummers throne and who a PST pack a seat and why?

I've been using a drummers throne for years...but thought I would solicit others opinions.

What might have confused everyone was the detail you used describing your guitar.

I'm guessing folks were confused by the "double-neck, 8-string" description.

I'm fooling around with some new tunings...one I've just started fooling with is a standard A6, with an added F at the bottom and a diminished chord on top...so it looks like:

C#
Bflat
G
G
E
C ...

I do, but with limited mental capacities I frequently forget which string and which interval. If you play on the top six strings, you get a lot of tritones and bebop type substitutions.

Well, understand that I play a 12 string...but, still...I use a C6 tuning with a Bflat major 7 on top.

So: in an 8 string version would be:

F
D
Bflat
G
E
C
A

It's got two minor triad ...

I have also recently started devoting myself to non-pedal steel: The U-12 is sitting a lonely and forlorn in the corner.

Where did you get it? I had heard Al had a number of CDs out and was looking for ones that were more jazz oriented.

...and have any interest in steel guitar, you absolutely have to go to Casey's Tavern in Canoga Park and hear Al Vescovo play. He plays jazz and swing with a small band (two horns and rhythm section) ...
