| Apologies, my mistake. The pickup that I thought had only 2 wires actually had three, identical to the other.
The wire had been cut short, about 3/4 inches and was stuck to the bottom potting compoun ... |

When you clean them, dont use glass cleaner or any solvents. Just a very minimal amount of water on a damp cloth. The glass cleaner may remove any inked lettering. (spoken from experience  )
